Zilliqa has issued an update on its recent security incident, saying an investigation with an external cybersecurity firm is still underway and outlining what it can disclose at this stage. The company said some X-Bridge and ZRC2 proxy contracts used by liquidity pools were affected, including those tied to PlunderSwap. Tokens named in the update were zUSDT, SEED, kUSD and Zoge. Zilliqa added that native ZIL and the Zilliqa EVM network were not affected. X-Bridge remains suspended, and users have been told not to use the bridge or the impacted liquidity pools. The company also said it is rotating all operational keys and working with exchanges and law enforcement. Separately, CEO Alexander Zahnd has voluntarily resigned. Until a formal leader is appointed, Zilliqa’s board has taken direct oversight, with support from an external advisory firm focused on cybersecurity and governance.
