Zimbabwe’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SECZ) has approved seven fintech firms to join its regulatory sandbox testing framework, opening a supervised setting for companies working across blockchain platforms, synthetic trading, crowdfunding, and tokenized services. The program is designed to let approved participants test products, services, and business models before entering the broader financial market. The selected firms include blockchain capital-raising platform Zimbabwe Entrepreneurship Exchange, asset tokenization platform Ndarama Standard, synthetic trading platform Questview Brokers, and web-based crowdfunding platform Crowdaxe Capital. Procode Platforms, Financial Securities Exchange, and Colmin Resources Zimbabwe were also approved, with operations focused on the tokenization of assets, infrastructure, or securities. SECZ said the sandbox is intended to support responsible innovation, improve financial inclusion, and promote a fairer, more transparent, and more efficient capital market in Zimbabwe. The regulator added that it will continue to monitor and assess participants during the testing period and may issue additional instructions, guidance, or operating requirements when needed.
