Zora’s new CEO, D. Goens, said the decentralized SocialFi platform has gone through several major changes this summer across product, team structure, and leadership. On the product side, Zora expanded beyond Base to support Robinhood, Solana, and BNB Chain, and rolled out a custom pairing feature that has already led to the creation of more than 4,000 trading pairs. Those pairs support trading in stocks, meme coins, and major assets. On the organizational side, the company completed layoffs and reduced its size to fewer than 10 people, while also bringing AI more deeply into operations to improve efficiency. In leadership, co-founder Jacob stepped down as CEO and fellow co-founder D. Goens took over the role. Looking ahead, Goens said the company will prioritize ZORA token buybacks, a rewards mechanism for token holders, restarting community incentive distributions, speeding up mobile product iteration, and improving transparency in communication with the community.
