Arc heats up before mainnet launch as USDC trades at a premium and launchpads crowd in

Arc’s mainnet is scheduled to go live on Sept. 16, but the contest for liquidity and attention has already begun. Ahead of launch, USDC tied to the ecosystem has been changing hands at a premium, and some traders have reportedly been buying the stablecoin in the OTC market to prepare for day-one positioning. At the same time, dozens of launchpads are trying to secure early distribution and meme-coin traffic inside the Arc ecosystem. The setup has drawn comparisons with Robinhood Chain, whose meme-driven wealth effect helped it pull in users and capital quickly after launch. Arc, backed by Circle and built around stablecoins and financial infrastructure, has also assembled a notable institutional lineup. Its validator set includes BlackRock, DTCC, Visa, Mastercard, ICE, Standard Chartered, SBI, MoneyGram and Galaxy, while protocols such as Uniswap, Aave, Morpho, Curve and Euler have announced integrations. Still, Arc’s path may not mirror Robinhood Chain’s. The two networks share a finance-first origin and both use EVM architecture, but their user funnels and business priorities differ. Arc is being positioned as infrastructure for stablecoin settlement, FX, tokenized Treasuries, money market funds and institutional payments. It also uses an encrypted mempool rather than a public one, limiting common frontrunning patterns. Those differences could shape how much meme speculation Arc can sustain after launch.

Bonk Guy draws backlash over token calls as portfolio posts a $6.35 million weekly drawdown

On-chain trader Bonk Guy, one of the most closely watched names in the latest meme-token run, is facing rising criticism after several of his public calls on low-cap tokens were followed by sharp price moves. Community members have questioned whether his growing influence is amplifying returns, especially in smaller names such as EMBER and Arc-related tokens, and some have raised concerns around possible conflicts of interest and information asymmetry. The dispute intensified after Bonk Guy publicly backed Solana ecosystem token EMBER and later promoted Arc-chain launchpad plays including LONG on Long.supply. His EMBER thesis, which referenced Meteora and the token’s growth potential, was met with criticism from users who argued that better-known competitor STONK already had stronger traction. Separate scrutiny emerged after Bubblemaps published an EMBER address cluster graphic that some users interpreted as showing concentrated ownership, though Bonk Guy denied any link and said the clustering was caused by the project’s token distribution method. A second wave of criticism followed his Arc-related trades. After LONG surged sharply, community members and crypto KOL 0xShawn questioned Long.supply’s asset authenticity claims and bridge design. Bonk Guy later apologized, saying his research had not been thorough enough and that he had received no promotion fees. At the same time, Fomo data shows his portfolio has fallen from more than $27 million over the past 30 days to about $15 million, with a drawdown of more than $6.35 million in the last seven days. His current positions remain heavily concentrated in PONS, USELESS, and MarsCoin, which together account for 75.3% of the portfolio.

RWA weekly: ARK seeks tokenized fund shares as stock token activity heats up

Real-world asset markets posted another week of measured growth in the Sept. 4 to Sept. 11 period, with on-chain RWA market capitalization rising to $39.07 billion and total holders climbing to 3.885 million, according to data cited in the report. Stablecoins also expanded, reaching a combined market cap of $304.93 billion, while monthly transfer volume jumped to $7.8 trillion and monthly active addresses rose to 56.64 million. Policy and product updates drove much of the week’s activity. Canada’s OSFI said tokenized deposits carry the same legal character as traditional deposits. In India, SEBI and the RBI launched a corporate bond tokenization pilot tied to wholesale digital rupee settlement. Uzbekistan moved ahead with a sandbox for a som-pegged stablecoin backed by government securities. On the product side, ARK filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to add exchange-listed and tokenized share classes to its Venture Fund, while a range of banks, payment firms and crypto platforms pushed forward with tokenized deposits, securities platforms and stablecoin infrastructure. The week also brought new funding deals, including Latitude’s $35 million Series A and Circle’s planned $400 million stock acquisition of cross-border payments platform Tazapay. The report also highlighted rising speculation around tokenized U.S. equities, including Robinhood Chain and Four.meme’s 4Stock experiment.

15 utility-focused protocols gaining traction on Robinhood Chain

MarsBit has published a Robinhood Chain market analysis originally written by Emiri at blocmates and translated by TechFlow, focusing on 15 utility-oriented protocols that have appeared on the chain in recent weeks. The piece argues that, after a long stretch in which almost every rally was treated as another meme-coin cycle, a set of projects tied to lending, tokenized equities, trading infrastructure, programmable launchpads, AI credits and yield products is starting to draw attention. Before the main list, the article briefly mentions established names including PONS, AI, CASHCAT, Index, SLVR, Arcus and Rialto. It then walks through projects such as Longdotxyz, which pairs meme coins with tokenized stocks; Netnet, which adapts Olympus-style treasury mechanics into code-defined rules; Longbow, a collateralized lending market; and Twofold, which uses Uniswap V4 DualPool design to let the same capital earn lending yield and DEX fees. The analysis also covers Mancer, Quotron, Hookr, Fables, Statics, Arrow Finance, Shroom, Clutch Markets, Orbio, Earn and Pare. Across these protocols, the recurring themes are tokenized stock exposure, protocol-owned liquidity, fee sharing, NFT-linked financial rights and new ways to split, route or monetize onchain assets. The author says the review is based on public information and documents and is not investment advice.

Uzbekistan Launches Pilot for Som-Pegged Stablecoin Backed by Government Securities

Uzbekistan's National Agency for Prospective Projects (NAPP) announced Monday the launch of a pilot project to test a stablecoin pegged to the Uzbekistani som and backed by government securities. The initiative registers Humo Digital as a participant under a special regime jointly supervised with the central bank. The pilot will examine the issuance, circulation, and redemption of HUMO tokens, each worth 1 som. More than 20 merchants have signed up to accept HUMO payments, and the project will integrate payment processing and blockchain infrastructure from participating banks. Licensed crypto exchange Asterium will serve as a partner. The central bank stated the initial trial will run for 12 months, with a total project cap of 3 years. Regulators will assess the sufficiency and security of collateral, cybersecurity, consumer protection, anti-money laundering controls, and risks to financial and price stability. The pilot follows a framework approved in November 2025, which outlined plans for stablecoin payment experiments under a regulatory sandbox and included provisions for tokenized stocks and bonds.

PolyFlow launches app to unify fiat, stablecoins and global payments in one account

PolyFlow officially launched the PolyFlow App on Sept. 7, pitching it as a single-account entry point for fiat, stablecoins, transfers, card management and broader on-chain financial services. The app supports fiat on-ramps and stablecoin deposits including USDT and USDC from external wallets, with on-chain deposits and withdrawals available across Ethereum, BSC, Tron and Solana. PolyFlow said in-app transfers can be made to other users through a PolyFlow UID or a registered phone number, removing the need to copy wallet addresses for internal transfers. The company has also integrated PolyFlow Card into the app, allowing users to manage the card inside the product and connect digital assets to online and offline payment scenarios. Beyond stablecoins, PolyFlow said it is exploring the gradual addition of selected real-world assets, or RWAs, and other on-chain assets, while expanding its multi-chain connectivity. The company described the app launch as an early step in its push from PayFi toward what it called a Web3 neobanking foundation.

Policy Group Tells UK Parliament Banks Are Still Restricting Bitcoin Activity

Bitcoin Policy UK told a parliamentary inquiry that British banks are still applying broad restrictions to lawful bitcoin activity, despite the government’s stated position since 2023 that firms should be assessed case by case rather than restricted by sector. The group said its evidence to the Crypto and Digital Assets All-Party Parliamentary Group, or APPG, shows no improvement over the past three years in how banks handle bitcoin-related payments and transfers. According to the submission, roughly 40% of bank-to-exchange transfers in the UK are currently blocked or delayed. Bitcoin Policy UK said several banks, including Virgin Money, Metro Bank, Starling Bank, TSB and Chase UK, block transfers and card payments outright, while Barclays and HSBC cap transfers at £2,500, or about $3,400, per transaction. The group also cited earlier industry surveys that found widespread account refusals and closures for crypto and fintech firms, as well as rising restrictions reported by exchanges. The organization asked for four changes, including a regulatory statement that bitcoin activity through an FCA-registered exchange should not face blanket restrictions, a requirement for banks to provide specific reasons and an appeals path, confirmation that FCA registration can be used as a risk basis, and a published periodic measure of restriction levels.
