RWS closes Acogroup acquisition after labor consultations and regulatory approvals
RWS, a global AI solutions company, has completed its acquisition of Acogroup, the parent company of language and content services provider Acolad, according to PR Newswire. The company said the deal closed after the completion of relevant labor consultation procedures and receipt of all required regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed. RWS said the acquisition will expand its business footprint across Europe and North America. As part of the combination, Acolad clients will gain access to RWS technologies and platforms including Language Weaver Pro, Trados, and Cultural Intelligence Layer. The company said those tools are expected to support more intelligent enterprise content processing, translation, and localization workflows. The two sides will also combine capabilities in interpreting, transcription, data services, and specialist work for regulated sectors including life sciences. The announcement focused on the operational and product integration that will follow the closing, while leaving the transaction value undisclosed.
