Scotland-based asset manager Baillie Gifford, in partnership with global custodian BNY, has launched a tokenized fixed income fund BAGEY on Ethereum and Solana. The fund offers a short-duration corporate bond portfolio with a current yield of about 7%, and investors hold shares directly on-chain with direct recourse.
Solana announced the launch of the Baillie Gifford Enhanced Yield Fund (BAGEY), the first fully native UK-regulated tokenized fund issued onchain, settled in USDC and built with BNY. The fund marks a breakthrough with the blockchain serving as the register of record.
