The Smarter Web Company Buys 225 More Bitcoin as Its BTC Treasury Strategy Expands

The Smarter Web Company (AQUIS: SWC | OTCQB: TSWCF) has announced the purchase of 225 additional Bitcoin for £19.6 million, at an average price of £87,096 per BTC. After this latest acquisition, the company’s total Bitcoin holdings have reached 1,825 BTC, acquired at an overall average cost of £80,466 per coin, for a total investment of £146.9 million. The purchase forms part of the company’s stated 10 Year Plan, which makes ongoing Bitcoin accumulation a core treasury strategy tied to future business needs rather than a short-term speculative move. The company also disclosed performance metrics for its Bitcoin position, including a year-to-date yield of 43,787% and a 30-day yield of 189%. CEO Andrew Webley said the company views Bitcoin as “the best asset the world has ever seen” and uses it as a treasury asset alongside its core business. Beyond the Bitcoin holdings themselves, the firm said it has more than £1 million in cash, zero debt, and roughly another £1 million in cash reserves still available for potential Bitcoin purchases. The broader context is important. The Smarter Web Company began accepting Bitcoin payments in 2023, then launched a Bitcoin-focused 10 Year Plan in April 2025. Soon after, it listed on the Aquis Stock Exchange Growth Market and raised up to £2 million through institutional and retail subscriptions. The company says Bitcoin is central to its long-term strategy and to its view of the future global financial system.

How Bitcoin Treasury Gains Lifted Semler Scientific’s Q2 Results and SMLR Stock

Semler Scientific’s second-quarter 2025 earnings show how a public company’s Bitcoin treasury strategy can materially reshape its financial profile. After the results were released, Nasdaq-listed SMLR rose more than 2.64% to $35.37. While the company’s core business remained under pressure, with revenue falling 43% to $8.2 million and operating expenses climbing to $10.3 million, its Bitcoin holdings produced an $83.8 million unrealized gain that pushed pre-tax income to $80.6 million and net income to $66.9 million, up from just $11,000 a year earlier. As of July 31, 2025, Semler held 5,021 BTC with a fair value of $586.2 million, compared with 4,636 BTC at the end of Q2. The company said it acquired about 1,829 BTC during the quarter and in July, spending $195.4 million funded by operating cash flow, monetized investments, and proceeds from equity and debt offerings. Management also highlighted broader strategic moves, including the launch of CardioVanta, a wholly owned healthcare subsidiary focused on early detection of heart failure and cardiac arrhythmia, and a new at-the-market equity program that allows the company to sell up to $500 million of common stock. By July 31, Semler had already raised about $194.3 million through that ATM facility. The result is a dual narrative: a healthcare company still developing its core operations while increasingly behaving like a Bitcoin treasury vehicle in public markets.
