Bitcoin Spot ETFs Draw $381.3 Million in a Single Day as Institutional Sentiment Improves

U.S. Bitcoin ETFs recorded $381.3 million in net inflows on April 21, the strongest single-day intake since January 30, when the category pulled in $588.1 million. The rebound stands out because it arrived during a weak session for traditional markets, with major U.S. equity indexes falling around 2.5% while bitcoin held above $87,300 and preserved its Easter weekend gains. ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) led daily inflows with $116.1 million, followed by Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) at $87.6 million. Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) and Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF (BTC) together brought in $69.1 million, while BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) added $41.6 million. At the same time, some issuers, including Invesco Galaxy Bitcoin ETF (BTCO) and WisdomTree Bitcoin Fund (BTCW), saw no activity. Market structure also turned more constructive: bitcoin futures showed positive funding rates, and the options market’s put-to-call ratio remained above 0.50, suggesting traders were leaning bullish. After falling to a 2025 low of $74,773 on April 7, bitcoin has recovered meaningfully, helping lift the total bitcoin and crypto market capitalization to $2.84 trillion. Taken together, the ETF flow rebound is increasingly being viewed as a sign that institutional investors are regaining confidence in bitcoin, especially as macro uncertainty and geopolitical tensions continue to weigh on traditional assets.
