Visa unveils three commercial payment tools covering card growth, virtual card security and automation

Visa announced three new capabilities in San Francisco on Oct. 21 aimed at expanding commercial card usage, tightening security for virtual cards, and automating business payments. The offerings are designed for financial institutions, fintech companies and enterprises. Darren Parslow, global head of Visa Commercial Solutions, said businesses are accelerating automation across payment-related workflows, from identifying supplier opportunities to approving invoices and executing transactions, and that the new capabilities are intended to provide the data, security and controls needed for that shift. The rollout includes SESA 2.0, Visa Commercial Fraud Solutions, and live pilots with billing platform BILL and accounts receivable platform Billtrust. Visa said SESA has helped financial institutions identify more than $600 billion in potential cardable spend since launch. The fraud suite includes supplier verification, 3-D Secure authentication for commercial virtual card users, and transaction-level controls. Visa added that payment controls are already available to eligible issuers in supported markets, while two other features remain in pilot and are scheduled for full launch in 2027.

Specter flags InfoFi project BILL as possible scam after heavy exchange deposits

On Oct. 18, on-chain sleuth Specter amplified a warning to the crypto community, saying the InfoFi project BILL may be a scam. The alert came alongside a set of token flow figures tied to Billion (BILL), whose price is down about 97% from its all-time high. Over the past two months, 17 addresses that received tokens from wallets linked to the team deposited roughly 988 million BILL to trading platforms. This week alone, another 360 million BILL was sent to exchanges from separate deposit addresses, with the tokens traced back to the project team’s multisig wallet. In total, around 1.35 billion BILL has moved onto exchanges over the last two months, equal to about 13.6% of the token’s total supply and worth an estimated $15 million. BlockBeats also noted that the project team had previously raised about $30 million from institutions including Coinbase Ventures and Polychain Capital.

On-chain tracker flags BILL after 13.6% of supply moved to Bybit in two months

On-chain sleuth Specter amplified a warning on X that InfoFi project Billion, whose token trades as BILL, may be a scam. In addition, one separate deposit address sent another 360 million BILL to Bybit this week, with the tokens said to have originated from the project team’s multisig wallet. In total, roughly 1.35 billion BILL, or about 13.6% of the token’s total supply, was reported to have flowed into Bybit over two months, with an estimated value of around $15 million. The report also said the BILL team had previously raised $30 million from venture capital firms. Specter described the project as a scam, though the allegations tied to wallet flows and the project’s nature have not been independently verified.
