Everclear to distribute remaining 300,000 USDC treasury funds to token holders
Everclear, a cross-chain settlement protocol that previously said it would wind down operations, has announced a distribution of its remaining treasury funds to eligible token holders. In a post on X, the project said 300,000 USDC left in the treasury will be allocated on a pro rata basis to eligible CLEAR holders as well as holders of unconverted NEXT tokens. The snapshot has already been completed, and claims must be submitted before 22:00 on September 30. To claim, users need to send at least 1 CLEAR or 1 NEXT to a burn address from any chain where the tokens are held. The payout will be calculated based on balances recorded in the snapshot and sent in USDC to the same address on Ethereum. Foresight News had earlier reported that Everclear announced a gradual shutdown in May 2026, covering the foundation, labs, and product development, citing insufficient commercial depth in its cross-chain solver business and an inability to convert transaction volume into meaningful revenue.
