Metallurgical Corporation of China Approves Wu Jiezhuang as Independent Non-Executive Director
Metallurgical Corporation of China (MCC) has officially approved Wu Jiezhuang as an independent non-executive director. The appointment was confirmed during the 88th meeting of the third board of directors, held on the afternoon of August 13, 2026, according to Techub News. Wu is currently a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a Legislative Council member in Hong Kong. His posts include member of the CPPCC National Committee's Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, chairman of the LegCo Panel on Commerce, Industry and Innovation and Technology, and chairman of the Subcommittee on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Technology Development. Wu also sits on the boards of China Unicom as an independent non-executive director and serves as a court member of Hong Kong Baptist University. In addition, he has been involved in investment promotion work by the Hong Kong SAR government in regions including Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Central Asia, supporting trade and investment ties between Hong Kong and the rest of the world.
