Nvidia, Costco and 10 other issuers object to trading on ICE-OKX tokenized stock venue
A revised public notice from OKXICE TSV shows that 50 public companies have now filed issuer objections to having their shares traded on the tokenized stock venue backed by Intercontinental Exchange and an OKX affiliate. The latest update, dated Oct. 30, added 12 names in two days, including Nvidia, Costco, Nike, Reddit, CrowdStrike and Micron, up from 38 companies listed in the Oct. 28 notice. The filing does not explain why the companies objected, and it still does not provide a launch date for trading. The venue relies on a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission exemptive order published in the Federal Register on Sept. 22. Under that order, the platform cannot list a stock tokenized by an unaffiliated third party if the issuer files a timely objection. The notice also lays out how the venue is structured: OKXICE LLC is owned 50% by ICE and 50% by OKC USA Holding, and it plans to run permissioned Uniswap v4 liquidity pools on OKX’s XLayer network for wallets that receive a non-transferable access token after identity checks. The disclosure also says the venue is not registered with the SEC, has no specific policy for maximal extractable value, relies on internal rather than external audit for its soulbound access-token contract, and leaves uncertainty around customer-property treatment and SIPC coverage if the broker-dealer behind the tokens were to fail.
