XRP spot exchange-traded funds recorded $18.83 million in net inflows in October, marking the seventh straight month of positive flows, according to a Techub News brief citing CryptoPotato. Over the same period, spot Bitcoin ETFs saw net outflows of more than $500 million, while spot Ethereum ETFs posted net outflows of more than $1.6 billion. Among individual products, Bitwise’s XRP ETF led cumulative inflows with $682 million. Franklin XRPZ followed with $524 million. Analysts say Bitcoin could target $94,000, but a break above the $86,000-$89,000 zone comes first

Techub, citing market commentary from CryptoPotato and other analysts, reported that Bitcoin may be ready to resume its upward move, though several levels still matter. CryptoPotato analyst Doctor Profit said BTC has likely moved past its correction phase and could aim for $94,000. Before that happens, he said price needs to clear the $86,000 to $89,000 resistance area, which could then turn into support. Another analyst, Crypto Patel, also presented a bullish view and said Bitcoin may head toward $100,000. In his view, BTC has already broken above the $67,000 resistance level, and if buyers are able to defend that area, the market could establish a higher low. At the same time, research firm xWIN said October may already have produced a bottom signal. Its analysis noted that elevated U.S. bond yields and profit-taking had previously weighed on Bitcoin. Still, ETF flows remain a risk to any recovery. According to the report cited by Techub, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs posted net outflows of $681.1 million last week.

hashbank rolls out mobile app combining banking services with Web3 asset functions

Licensed digital bank hashbank, part of W Group, has launched a mobile app that combines traditional banking services with Web3 features in one environment. The app lets users receive more than 150 digital assets from external wallets, convert them into fiat for spending, or send them to external blockchain addresses. hashbank said it received a full banking license from the National Bank of Georgia in 2023 and now serves about 60,000 customers across 73 countries. The bank also said it is the first licensed bank in the South Caucasus and Central Asia to offer this kind of integrated model inside a mobile banking app. W Group founder and president Volodymyr Nosov said the company’s task is to build infrastructure bridges linking the Web2 and Web3 worlds, and described hashbank as part of that strategy. The update was cited by Techub News, with CryptoPotato named as the source.

Justin Drake says Satoshi-era Bitcoin addresses face quantum risk

Bitcoin security researcher Justin Drake said in an interview that early mining addresses linked to Satoshi Nakamoto could be vulnerable to quantum attacks because they used raw public keys instead of hashed addresses. He said the addresses in question hold about 1 million BTC. Drake added that ordinary users remain safe as long as they move bitcoin to a fresh address and do not spend from it, since the public key is not exposed in that case. He also said even the fastest quantum computers currently being discussed would still need time to break keys, so users do not need to rush into post-quantum cryptography tools that are still under development. According to Drake, Bitcoin developers are already testing quantum-resistant approaches, including Quantum Safe Bitcoin transactions that do not require consensus changes and the BIP-361 proposal, which is designed to gradually freeze vulnerable addresses. The report was cited by CryptoPotato.

Pi Network revises App Studio pricing and ends broad subsidies for most developers

Pi Network’s core team has rolled out a major pricing change for its AI-powered App Studio, ending broad subsidies for application creation and editing for most developers starting Aug. 24. Under the new structure, pricing will track the actual cost of underlying AI services more closely, with fees changing based on resource consumption rather than a heavily subsidized flat approach. The team said it will not add a markup on top of AI costs. One exception remains: developers whose applications attract enough real and independent users can still pay the older subsidized rate. Pi Network said the change is meant to shift network resources away from experimental, test, or spam-style applications and toward products that people are actually using. The update was cited by Techub News, with CryptoPotato named as the source in the item.

Spot Bitcoin and Ether ETFs Post Strongest Weekly Inflows Since October

U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds pulled in $1.92 billion in net inflows in the week ending Aug. 21, the strongest weekly total since October last year, according to a Techub report citing CryptoPotato. The biggest single-day move came on Wednesday, when net inflows jumped to $517 million after the U.S. Treasury announced an expansion of long-term Treasury buybacks. Spot Ether ETFs also saw heavy demand during the same period, attracting nearly $700 million in net inflows, also their highest weekly level since last October. Their cumulative net inflows rose from $11.45 billion a week earlier to $12.15 billion. The inflows came alongside a sharp move higher in crypto prices. Bitcoin climbed from below $65,000 at the start of the week to nearly $80,000 at one point, while Ether advanced from $1,900 to above $2,500 at its peak. The figures point to a week of strong institutional demand across both major crypto ETF products.
