Zamanat backs $100 million tokenized private credit fund in DIFC

Zamanat said on Sept. 10 that it is sponsoring Zamanat Fund CEIC Limited, a tokenized private credit fund registered in the Dubai International Financial Centre with a target size of up to $100 million. The fund will focus on private credit opportunities across the Gulf Cooperation Council region, where the company said small and medium-sized enterprises face an estimated $250 billion financing gap and only about 11% can access credit. The vehicle is structured as a closed-ended exempt fund regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority, with Truleum Venture Partners serving as manager and Apex Group providing fund administration services. Fund interests will be issued as ZM1 investment tokens on ZIGChain and offered in a regulated, whitelisted environment to eligible professional investors only. Zamanat said the launch is its first live case of bringing GCC private credit into a regulated digital structure. The company also said the fund is not an Islamic fund and is not being marketed as Shariah-compliant, adding that digital Islamic assets sit within its broader business strategy.

Fluid partners with AGI3 as Kinetic plans to buy up to 10% of FLUID supply

Fluid and AGI3 Group have put forward a governance proposal outlining a strategic ecosystem partnership, with Kinetic Group planning to acquire up to 10% of FLUID’s token supply through secondary market purchases and over-the-counter transactions. The proposal states that those tokens will not come from the DAO treasury or team allocations. Separately, the Fluid Foundation will provide another 5% of FLUID to establish custody arrangements with compliant private banks and institutional digital asset custodians in Switzerland, the European Union, Hong Kong, and Singapore, with those tokens locked for at least four years through 2030. As part of the same arrangement, AGI3 will grant a 2% equity stake to the Fluid Foundation, also subject to a four-year lock-up. AGI3, set up under Kinetic Group, is focused on financial infrastructure spanning payments, banking, capital markets, and tokenization. The partnership will center on AGI3 Markets, a permissioned DeFi instance for institutions with KYC/AML checks that supports lending and trading in tokenized real-world assets including private credit, Treasuries, commodities, equities, and corporate bonds. Revenue and incentive budgets from AGI3 Markets will be split evenly between the two parties.
