Injective2026-09-01 05:28:09Injective Mainnet Stalls Nearly 4 Hours; Attacker Nets ~$4.88MAccording to on-chain researcher Rarma, Injective's mainnet stopped producing blocks for roughly 3 hours and 42 minutes on August 31. Upon resumption, the block height moved from 181,027,006 to 181,027,007, and no rollback occurred. QuickNode's status records showed a network-wide stall and the deployment of an emergency patch. An attacker allegedly abused Injective's insurance fund and permissionless binary options market creation mechanism 299 times, sending about 1,979.8 ETH (around $4.88 million) to a single address.820
Injective2026-09-01 00:54:00Injective reportedly halted for about four hours after binary options flaw, with roughly $4.9 million drainedInjective was reportedly paused for about four hours on Sept. 1 after a binary options exploit led to the loss of about $4.9 million, according to PANews, citing X user Paddy-earthling. The account said the attacker abused Frontrunner, a deprecated oracle that remained registered even though its data source had long been cleared. By creating 299 markets tied to that oracle, the attacker allegedly forced a "no price refund" condition and then exploited that refund logic to receive roughly 2x payouts. The stolen USDC was then swapped into about 1,980 ETH, valued at around $4.9 million in the report, and the funds are now sitting in an Ethereum wallet that has never sent any transaction. Paddy-earthling also said Injective’s official X account continued posting marketing content after the incident without mentioning the chain halt. The post added that Injective made its core chain code private, while the attacker was still able to identify the issue through the public SDK. According to the same disclosure, the protocol-level shortfall has already been covered, but the remediation process involved no governance vote and no public explanation, leaving the fix unverifiable from the outside. The author also disclosed holding a long INJ position.850
Hydro Protoco2026-08-31 06:24:18Hydro Protocol adds native USDC support to its money market layerLSDFi protocol Hydro Protocol said in a post on X that its money market layer now supports native USDC. Users can deposit USDC on Hydro Lending to earn a floating interest rate and also use the asset as collateral. The protocol added that native USDC can also be deployed in DeFi strategies on Injective. The update expands the set of assets available within Hydro Protocol’s lending product and links that support to use cases on Injective.920

POSCO2026-08-25 19:40:00POSCO brings trade receivables to Avalanche in latest tokenization moveCoinDesk says South Korean trading giant POSCO has brought trade receivables to Avalanche in a new tokenization transaction. The $22 billion company worked with Olea and Intain on the deal. CoinDesk also noted that POSCO ran an Injective pilot with LG CNS last month.1010
Injective2026-08-21 06:43:21Injective says institutional arm has secured SEC transfer agent registrationInjective said its institutional services arm has registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as a securities transfer agent, a status the company described as a first for a Layer 1 blockchain. The registration allows the unit to provide regulated ownership recordkeeping, transfer, distribution, and shareholder management services for securities. According to Injective, the approval covers four tokenized asset categories already live on the network: institutional funds, publicly listed equities, private company shares, and corporate receivables. The company also said the framework lets those processes run on distributed ledger infrastructure while remaining compliant with U.S. securities rules. Separately, Injective has launched markets tied to digital asset treasury companies, public stocks, and private company shares including SpaceX and OpenAI, and it has rolled out the tokenized asset issuance platform Injective Mint Alpha. In July, POSCO International and LG CNS selected Injective for a trade finance pilot focused on tokenizing receivables generated from international trade and handling transfer, management, and settlement.1200
Injective2026-08-19 15:19:21Injective affiliate secures SEC transfer agent registration for tokenized securities recordkeepingInjective Institutional Services, an affiliate of the Injective blockchain ecosystem, said its registration with the US Securities and Exchange Commission as a transfer agent is now effective. The move adds a regulated recordkeeping function to Injective’s tokenization stack and gives the entity authority to maintain securities ownership records and process ownership changes. Those duties are central to traditional securities markets and may also support tokenized real-world assets. The company said it plans to combine the transfer agent function with Injective Mint, its platform for issuing and managing tokenized assets. The development comes after Injective broadened its tokenization push in recent months through markets tied to digital asset treasury companies, equities and pre-IPO shares. Cointelegraph had previously reported that Injective Institutional Services filed its transfer agent registration application with the SEC in July. Transfer agents form part of the regulated infrastructure behind US securities markets. Their role becomes especially relevant when securities are issued or moved onchain, where accurate ownership records and transfer processing are essential.1110
Cardano2026-08-04 07:51:12Cardano and Injective connect on testnet through IBCThe Cardano Foundation said in a post on X that Cardano and Injective have established a connection on testnet through IBC, the Inter-Blockchain Communication protocol. The update indicates that the link has been completed in a testnet environment rather than on mainnet. According to the statement, ADA will be able to move into the Injective ecosystem, while INJ will also be able to enter the Cardano ecosystem. The two assets are expected to be usable across the two ecosystems under this testnet connection. The announcement came directly from the Cardano Foundation. No additional rollout details, timing beyond the testnet milestone, or production deployment information were disclosed in the source post.1860
