From Robinhood case studies to ARC prep: how early participants size up opportunities on a new chain

PANews published a long-form market analysis by @brucexu_eth, founder of LXDAO and ETHPanda, that reviews public Robinhood-era trading posts and uses them to map out how people try to make money in the earliest phase of a new blockchain. The piece groups the main paths into buying meme coins, providing liquidity, arbitraging price gaps, and building tools or infrastructure, then asks a simple question behind every profit screenshot: did the trader win by picking the right asset, by supplying capital, or by exploiting a market function that was still underdeveloped. The article cites public examples rather than verified averages. Those include reports of 26x and 56x meme trades, a self-reported five-day move from $1,000 to $50,000 through LP positions, and a small arbitrage test that used 200 USDT to earn about 2 USDT in a day. The author stresses that such posts should not be treated as representative returns and in some cases may be promotional. The second half shifts to ARC, which has not yet fully launched. Based on ARC’s public positioning around stablecoin finance, EVM compatibility and USDC as gas, the article argues that preparation should focus on bridging routes, liquidity access, wallet and RPC setup, and tool readiness. It highlights Jumper and LI.FI for cross-chain access, and lists public ARC materials including testnet resources, contract references, RPC and indexing options, and notes on differences from Ethereum.

ETHShanghai 2026 opens community partner call for global digital nomad groups

ETHShanghai 2026, scheduled for Sept. 22 in Shanghai, is calling for 2 to 5 digital nomad communities from different cities and regions to join the event as community co-build partners. The conference is framed around the theme "Ethereum Renaissance" and aims to examine the values the organizers say have remained central to Ethereum over more than a decade, including openness, collaboration, freedom, autonomy, and new forms of human connection. Rather than asking applicants to present themselves as packaged Web3 projects, the organizers say they want grounded case studies and first-hand stories about how communities actually live, work, organize, and experiment. The call specifically mentions co-living and co-learning spaces, rural initiatives, governance experiments, and teams with demonstrable progress whose founders or core members can attend in person. Selected communities will receive a five-minute Community Showcase slot, an on-site booth, official exposure through ETHShanghai materials and social channels, access to exchanges with Ethereum developers and public goods builders, and post-event documentation of standout cases. Applications close at 23:59 UTC+8 on Sept. 12, 2026.

ETHShanghai 2026 to Open in Shanghai on Sept. 22 Under “Ethereum Renaissance” Theme

ETHShanghai 2026 will take place in Shanghai on Sept. 22 under the theme “Ethereum Renaissance.” The conference will examine Ethereum’s early history, the values the crypto industry may have lost through speculation and attention-driven markets, the relationship between AI and Web3, and possible directions for the ecosystem’s next phase. Its program will also address Ethereum’s changing identity as it works through coordination between Layer 1 and Layer 2 scaling, governance questions, the link between ecosystem growth and ETH value, and its broader role as infrastructure for an on-chain economy. The event will use the CROPS framework of censorship resistance, capture resistance, open source, privacy and security as a recurring set of values. Two roundtables will focus on open-source AI, decentralized compute, data sovereignty, verifiability, agents, autonomous identity and privacy. ETHShanghai has opened global sponsorship applications with Diamond, Platinum and Gold tiers. The event is organized by ETHPanda, PANews and The Excited Few, with support from GCC, Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, LXDAO, Web3Buidler.Tech and ETH HK Hub.
