Between Oct. 5 and Oct. 7, ASE filed 13 announcements on behalf of its subsidiaries Siliconware Precision Industries, ASE Semiconductor and Taiwan Foresight Electronics. The filings covered both factory utility projects and machinery purchases, but the reported transaction dates were spread across several months. That means the disclosures reflected cumulative transaction amounts released at one time, rather than all-new orders placed during those three days. Among the largest items, Siliconware disclosed eight factory engineering contracts totaling about NT$11.53 billion, while machinery orders included NT$2.03 billion from Mirle Automation and NT$1.04 billion from Japan’s Tazmo. ASE Semiconductor also disclosed an untaxed NT$1.23 billion machinery purchase from a Singapore unit of Kulicke & Soffa. Elsewhere, KYEC said it purchased 122 sets of machinery from Tokyo Electron for NT$1.25 billion, and PTI group filings showed combined purchases of NT$1.23 billion. The counterparties included listed companies such as Acter and Hongjun Precision, both of which also reported strong September revenue growth.20
