Crypto market slips as Bitcoin briefly falls below $78,000
The crypto market posted a mild pullback on Aug. 26, according to HTX market data, with Bitcoin briefly dropping below $78,000 in early trading before recovering to $78,500. Ether was quoted at $2,443, while SOL changed hands at $96 after pulling back more than 3% following a move above $100. BNB fell below the $700 mark to $693, and ZEC was quoted at $774 with a nearly 7% decline over the past 24 hours. Total crypto market capitalization fell 0.4% over the same period to $2.739 trillion. Among gainers, BMT jumped 54% to $0.023, ONG rose 17% to $0.1, and PROM added 14.6% to $4.12, while FF, STX, and TLM were each up more than 10%. On the losing side, PEOPLE, STORJ, and MUBARAK were down nearly 20% over 24 hours, while PORTAL, JTO, ETHFI, DASH, and MET each fell close to 10%.
