PONS briefly tops $56 million market cap on Robinhood Chain

PONS, a token in the Robinhood Chain ecosystem, briefly pushed its market capitalization above $56 million and set a new all-time high, according to GMGN monitoring cited by BlockBeats on July 26. Fees collected in WETH are used to buy back PONS, while fees collected in PONS are burned directly. Some community members view the project as Robinhood Chain’s version of pump.fun.

BlackRock, Coinbase and Strategy Join $15 Million Bitcoin Quantum Defense Push

A new Bitcoin Security Consortium backed by BlackRock, Coinbase, Strategy and six other firms has pledged a combined $15 million over three years to support Bitcoin security research and open-source development focused on quantum-computing defense. According to Decrypt’s Morning Minute newsletter, the group includes Anchorage Digital, ARK Invest, Block, Blockstream, Fidelity Digital Assets and Galaxy. The consortium will not pool or allocate the capital itself. Each member will directly choose which developers and researchers to fund, while Brink’s Mike Schmidt will coordinate on a volunteer basis. The group also said it will not direct Bitcoin development or take positions on protocol changes. BlackRock digital assets head Robert Mitchnick said Bitcoin Core developers do “incredibly important work,” adding that the effort would expand available funding for Bitcoin’s long-term security. Decrypt also highlighted the scale of the issue the industry is trying to address. While no quantum computer can break Bitcoin cryptography today, about 6.9 million BTC, valued at roughly $450 billion, sit in addresses that would be vulnerable if that changes. The newsletter said proposals such as BIP 360 and post-quantum signature schemes are already being discussed because any upgrade would require years of coordination across wallets, exchanges, miners and users. The same Morning Minute also covered softer ETF flows, CLARITY Act timing risk, MoonPay’s Discover partnership and meme coin volatility.

Top crypto movers in 24 hours: Trump warns of a September shutdown, Samsung Wallet adds stablecoin plans

Crypto markets saw another mixed 24-hour session, with major exchange volume leaders mostly in the red while a handful of smaller tokens posted strong gains. OKX’s top gainers list was led by ZAMA, PROS, and RE, while msx.com’s crypto-linked stock leaderboard featured SMCI.M, SKHY.M, and TSLQ.M. On-chain meme activity tracked by GMGN centered heavily on Robinhood Chain. The broader news flow was equally busy. Samsung Electronics said at Galaxy Unpacked 2026 that Samsung Wallet will add stablecoin support and combine payments, rewards, and digital assets in one service. Kraken parent Payward is expanding xStocks beyond the U.S. by bringing equities from Hong Kong, the U.K., South Korea, and other markets on-chain. Other developments included a reported update on the CLARITY Act, the U.K.’s plan for a tokenized sovereign bond before early 2027, projections for crypto’s economic contribution to the U.S. in 2026, Japan’s possible launch of a Bitcoin ETF by 2028, and comments from Grayscale’s Zach Pandl on whether Bitcoin may already have bottomed.

Pons says 20% of PONS supply was burned in eight days as market cap briefly tops $39 million

Pons, the native token launch platform on Robinhood Chain, said on July 21 that 20% of the PONS token supply had been burned over the past eight days. The platform added that it will keep using platform revenue to burn more PONS. Data tracked by GMGN showed that PONS, a token in the Robinhood Chain ecosystem, briefly pushed its market capitalization above $39 million on the day, marking a record high. It was later quoted at about $33 million, with a 24-hour gain of 105% and trading volume of roughly $13.7 million over the same period. PONS is the platform token of Pons, which supports the creation and issuance of fixed-supply tokens. According to the description in the source material, WETH fees collected by the platform are used to buy back PONS, while fees paid in PONS are burned directly. Some community members have described the project as Robinhood Chain’s version of Pump.fun. BlockBeats also noted that on-chain token trading can be highly volatile and often depends on market sentiment and narrative-driven speculation, warning investors to pay attention to risk.

PONS briefly tops $39 million market cap after Vlad Tenev follows founder

PONS, a token tied to the Robinhood ecosystem, surged on July 21 and briefly pushed its market capitalization above $39 million before pulling back to $28 million, according to GMGN data cited by BlockBeats. The token still held a 24-hour gain of 39%, with trading volume at roughly $13.6 million. Market attention centered on Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev, who followed PONS founder MEADGod earlier in the day. That move came as traders focused on rising competition around Circus Trade, a new meme launch platform in the Bonk ecosystem. BlockBeats said PONS, one of the tokens associated with the native launch platform Pons, broke above its previous high after capital returned to the trade. The report also said the Robinhood market has recently been pricing in on-chain infrastructure and utility-focused tokens. BlockBeats added a risk note, saying on-chain token trading can be highly volatile and is often driven by market sentiment and narrative speculation rather than real value or practical use cases.

Vlad Tenev follows Pons founder as Robinhood Chain launchpad race heats up

Robinhood co-founder and CEO Vlad Tenev has followed Pons founder @MEADGod on X, days after also following Ogle, a World Liberty Financial adviser active around the Pons ecosystem. The social signal has pushed fresh attention toward Pons, a Robinhood Chain launchpad that has been live for only about a week but has already posted rapid gains in token launches and trading activity. According to Dune data cited in the report, Pons had processed more than 66,000 token launches and over $380 million in cumulative trading volume as of 16:00 on July 20, while its share of launchpad token trading volume stayed above 50% over the previous two days. The platform had also distributed about $3.56 million in fees to token creators. Even so, the article argues that Pons still has to show it can convert issuance volume into durable wealth effects. Of roughly 67,000 tokens launched so far, only 529 had reached the platform’s default 4.2 ETH “graduation” threshold at the time of writing, putting the graduation rate below 0.8%.
