Payy rolls out Finality, a stablecoin refund mechanism
Payy, a privacy-focused EVM Layer 2 network on Ethereum, has introduced Finality, a stablecoin refund mechanism aimed at business customers. The system is designed to offer a dispute-resolution process similar to chargebacks without reversing the original blockchain transaction. Under the setup, the payer can define a brief recovery window when creating a payment, while the recipient still receives funds immediately. During that protection window, liquidity providers take on the payment protection layer. If a dispute arises, the payer can submit a reason and supporting evidence for review by a neutral arbitrator. If the claim is approved, the protected amount can be recovered. The launch positions Finality as a mechanism for handling payment disputes in stablecoin transactions while preserving the finality of the original on-chain transfer.
