In an interview, he described himself as a news-driven short-term trader who now spends about 10 hours a day tracking markets through overseas information channels and private group chats. What drew him to crypto was the 24/7 structure: when an event breaks outside traditional market hours, prices can react right away rather than waiting for the next session. Steve said a storage-themed trade in June stood out as a representative example of his approach. He tracked the theme, watched whether market action matched his expectations, and entered through futures after confirming direction, usually with 3x to 5x leverage. But he also pointed to a severe loss in July on another exchange as a turning point. He said he failed to exit when the trend no longer matched his thesis and kept holding until he had to stop out. That experience pushed him to focus less on whether he could read direction and more on whether he could follow rules under pressure. He said most of his profits came from directional judgment, while many losses came from irrational behavior, especially refusing to cut losing positions.230
