Coinbase shifts WMTX-USD pair to limit-only mode

Coinbase said the WMTX-USD trading pair has moved to limit-only mode. The change applies to both Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Advanced, where users can place or cancel limit orders and those orders may be matched. Market orders are not available under the current setting. The update was shared through the Coinbase Markets account, according to Techub News. The notice only covers the trading mode change and does not include any additional timeline or explanation for the adjustment. For traders, the practical effect is that execution on the pair is now restricted to limit orders rather than market orders across the two Coinbase platforms named in the announcement.

PeckShield: SingularityNET exploit led to unauthorized minting of 260 million AGIX

PeckShield said on Sept. 20 that the hacker previously tied to attacks on Fetch.ai and NuNet also exploited a vulnerability in SingularityNET, minting 260 million AGIX and 53.838 million WMTX without authorization on Ethereum. The blockchain security firm said the attacker currently holds crypto assets worth about $16.77 million. That includes 198.3 million AGIX valued at roughly $14.42 million, 649 ETH worth about $1.67 million, and 33.538 million WMTX worth about $627,400. The update links the SingularityNET incident to the same actor identified in the earlier Fetch.ai and NuNet attacks, based on PeckShield’s monitoring. No further details on the exploit path or remediation were included in the source report.
