Wonder raises $650 million at a $9 billion post-money valuation

AI food platform Wonder has raised $650 million in a new financing round, according to Fortune, with participation from Accel, Google Ventures (GV), and NEA. New investors in the round include ARK Invest, AllianceBernstein, and Kayne Anderson, while Goldman Sachs, Jefferies, and JPMorgan served as financing arrangers. The company is developing an AI platform called MEL that analyzes users’ biometrics and physical condition to automatically plan and order meals tailored to individual needs. Fortune said the financing values Wonder at $9 billion on a post-money basis. Wonder is also planning to begin an initial public offering process early next year, adding a public-markets angle to one of the larger recent funding rounds tied to consumer-facing AI applications.
