BlackRock Canada Launches Two ETFs, IBQT Allocates 3% to Bitcoin
BlackRock Canada launched two exchange-traded funds Monday, and both have started trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The first listing is the iShares Equity + Bitcoin ETF Portfolio (IBQT). It holds 97% of its assets in Canadian, U.S., international and emerging market equities, with the remaining 3% allocated to bitcoin. That crypto exposure is sourced through BlackRock's Canadian iShares Bitcoin ETF (IBIT); the fund's holdings consist largely of other iShares ETFs rather than individual stocks. The second fund is the iShares Core MSCI All-International Equity Index ETF (XINT). It tracks the MSCI ACWI ex North America IMI index, which covers more than 5,000 companies across over 40 developed and emerging markets outside Canada and the U.S. Both funds are managed by BlackRock Asset Management Canada through the RBC iShares alliance, and Cointelegraph brought the news.
