Ray Dalio says Bitcoin makes up 1% of his portfolio and he still prefers gold

Bridgewater Associates founder Ray Dalio said Bitcoin accounts for just 1% of his portfolio and that he still favors gold, according to Bitcoin Magazine. Speaking on a Thursday podcast, Dalio described Bitcoin as a form of money that cannot be printed without limit, but said it faces risks including technological threats such as quantum computing, as well as the possibility of government surveillance and taxation. Dalio had previously said he would not invest in Bitcoin, but has since acknowledged owning it. Even so, he said on the program that gold remains the better choice in his view, stating plainly, "I prefer gold." Dalio had also said last year that Bitcoin represented only 1% of his portfolio.
