Executive Board Chair Michelle Lai said Argos can recover shielded-address funds as long as users still possess the old mnemonic phrase. While the exact scale of locked assets is unknown, Lai estimated it to be “significant” and concentrated among long-term holders. Separately, Sovright is testing a privacy-focused Zcash mining pool to reduce hash rate centralization. Meanwhile, former ECC employees have formed ZODL, backed by Paradigm and a16z, focusing on Zcash product development.
