Developer Sac turns The Little Prince into a 3D playable game in 16 days with Opus 5.5

Developer Sac said he spent 16 days turning The Little Prince into a playable 3D story game, then revealed the project on X on Oct. 13. The game, titled The Little Prince: Across the Stars, is already available through its own standalone website. According to Sac, the build combined Opus 5.5 with Tripo, a 3D model generation tool, and Blender, a 3D production suite used for modeling, materials, animation and rendering. The result is a version of the book’s planets that players can walk through and explore in three-dimensional scenes. The website currently offers eight language options, including Chinese, English and Japanese. Early players have already started leaving feedback. One X user, @0xLuo, said it was hard to imagine that a game with that level of completion was made in just 16 days, while also reporting a bug tied to movement controls after finishing the watering task. The website notes that the current version requires a browser with WebGPU support. Sac also said in the original post that he plans to open-source the full game and publish a detailed breakdown of the production process.

Shaders open-sources 200+ WebGPU components for web effects and AI coding workflows

Shaders, a web visual effects tool, has open-sourced more than 200 WebGPU effect components, its core rendering engine, and adaptation code for multiple front-end frameworks under the MIT license. The release allows developers to use the assets for both personal and commercial projects at no cost. Shaders said users can fine-tune effects in its web editor first, then export code that can be used directly in React, Vue, Svelte, and other projects. The toolkit is also positioned as useful for AI coding workflows: Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex agents can search and invoke the components through MCP. Previously, agents trying to build complex web effects often had to generate low-level WGSL code on the fly, which led to inconsistent visual results and unstable performance. With prebuilt components now available, that work can shift to modifying existing modules instead of building and optimizing everything from scratch. Shaders did not open-source its entire product. Its visual editor remains operated by the company, while some advanced presets, full web blocks, and image and video rendering features stay in the paid Pro version.

Supersonic Labs releases Julia 1, a 144.3 million-parameter open-source decision model that runs on CPUs

Brazilian AI lab Supersonic Labs has released Julia 1, an open-source decision model built for structured decision tasks rather than general-purpose language generation. The model has 144.3 million parameters and is designed to run locally on standard CPUs, removing the need for high-end GPUs. Its weights have been published on Hugging Face under the Apache 2.0 license, and the model also supports browser-side execution through ONNX with WebGPU. Julia 1 uses a single API to handle three types of decision workflows: choosing from 2 to 20 options, assigning ratings on ordered scales such as low, medium, and high, and estimating the probability that a yes-or-no statement is true. Supersonic Labs said the model is built on Johns Hopkins University’s mmBERT-small encoder and is not a fine-tuned version of an existing large language model. The lab put total training cost at about $104. In benchmark results released by the team, Julia 1 posted 73.15% accuracy on the Typed Decisions task, slightly above the reference baseline for the TypeSafe Jev model. Performance was weaker on some other tasks, including Banking77, where accuracy reached 64% across a 72-label classification setting. On Apple’s M4 chip, the median latency for a single decision was 33.15 milliseconds.

Vercel Open-Sources vgpu, a TypeScript WebGPU Library Purpose-Built for AI Agent Shaders

Vercel has open-sourced vgpu, a TypeScript WebGPU library developed in-house and designed specifically for AI agent shaders. The project targets the full lifecycle of shader development and deployment, according to a summary via MarkTechPost. With vgpu, .wgsl shader files are treated as importable modules rather than raw text. A unified API sits on top, which means the same shader code can execute across three distinct environments: a browser canvas, a headless Node.js process, and CI snapshot testing setups. The library is published to npm under the MIT license. There is no account requirement, no quota, and no inference fee. Vercel also packages a CLI tool, an llms.txt file, and a hosted read-only MCP server endpoint, all of which reinforce the "AI agent-first" positioning. In addition, the repo includes a deterministic simulation adapter, so tests can run in environments without a GPU. The announcement was covered by Techub News, citing MarkTechPost as the original source.

Krackpot launches browser game offering 6 BTC for cracking Bitcoin Puzzle 71

Simon Males has launched Krackpot, a browser-based game that lets users use GPU power to try to crack the private key for Bitcoin Puzzle 71, according to a post from Bitcoin News on X. The reward is 6 BTC. The time required depends on how much GPU power is used: one gaming GPU would take about 830,000 years, 1 million GPUs would take one year, and if all Steam players joined at once, it would take about one week. Krackpot runs locally in the browser through WebGPU. If a user finds the private key, the 6 BTC reward will be sent to a Bitcoin address specified by that user, while the remaining portion goes to the developer.
