Amin Chiakha said he was subjected to a racist insult during Rosenborg's 3-0 win at Fredrikstad on Saturday, after an incident in the second half.

Rosenborg won 3-0 at Fredrikstad on Saturday, with Amin Chiakha scoring two goals. During the second half, Chiakha alleged that an opposing player directed a racist insult at him during the match.

The incident in the second half

Around the 58th minute, after a standard free-kick situation, Chiakha became visibly furious and distressed. He confronted the referee and Fredrikstad players, saying that an opposing player had hurled a racist insult at him.

The referee confirmed that there were allegations of racism. Chiakha disclosed that the player used the Danish derogatory slur "perker".

Chiakha's reaction on the pitch

Chiakha was visibly in tears and initially threatened to walk off the pitch before calming down and finishing the match.

Fredrikstad's response

On Saturday evening, Fredrikstad sporting director Joacim Heier said their player did not recognize the accusations against him.

Heier said: "We have spoken with the player. He is sad and disappointed by the accusation. He feels he is being accused of using a word he is unfamiliar with—a word he definitely did not say. As a club, we have full confidence in our player; knowing him as we do, it is inconceivable that he would have said such a thing."
