Bayern Munich are being linked with a possible move for AFC Bournemouth attacker Junior Kroupi as speculation continues over whether the club might yet enter the winter transfer market. GOAL also reported that, amid injuries in attack, signing Kroupi would allow Bayern to address several needs at once.
Eberl's position on winter transfers
Sporting director Max Eberl spoke before departing for Madrid on Monday for the Champions League away match at Atletico. He said: "Not at the moment. We have the squad we have and are extremely happy with it."
Eberl also said: "We have to examine the situation closely. We are monitoring the market, we are thinking about it, but as things stand there are no hasty plans."
What other outlets said about Bayern's plans
According to the British newspaper Mirror, Bayern Munich have set their sights on AFC Bournemouth's Junior Kroupi. According to Sky, Bayern intend to seek attacking reinforcements by the summer at the latest and are already sounding out the transfer market.
According to Sky, Bayern are focusing on a left winger. The Mirror also said Arsenal and PSG are considering a move for Kroupi.
Kroupi's contract and recent form
Kroupi remains under contract with Bournemouth until 2030. When he was linked with Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, €120 million was cited as a benchmark.
Kroupi scored 13 goals in 33 league matches last season. After a prolonged foot injury, he has made just two brief appearances this season, and he provided an assist in the 2-0 win over Leeds United.
