Amorim's numbers at United
Amorim managed 63 games for Manchester United over 14 months, recording 25 victories and 23 defeats for a win rate of 39.7% in all competitions. In the Premier League, he won 15 of 47 matches, giving him a league win rate of 31.9%.
Manchester United reached the 2025 Europa League final under Amorim, but were beaten by Tottenham Hotspur in that final. Amorim left Manchester United sixth in the Premier League table.
Carrick's record
Carrick was in caretaker charge for three matches in late 2021 after Ole Gunnar Solskjær left, winning two and drawing one. After Carrick returned in January, Manchester United won 12 of their 17 games until the end of the season, and his Manchester United win rate now stands at 48.5%.
SI said that, according to The Guardian, United earned 12.7 more points than expected while Carrick was in charge. SI also said that, according to The Guardian, only Napoli recorded more victories by a one-goal margin than Carrick's United, with Napoli on nine and United on eight.
The current run
Manchester United have won two of their 13 games so far in the 2026–27 season, with those victories coming against Ipswich Town and Sabah. Carrick's win rate this season is 15.4%, and Manchester United's goal difference is -7.
A 2–0 defeat to Chelsea extended Manchester United's winless run across all competitions to nine games. At the end of the 2024–25 season, under Amorim, Manchester United went eight games without a Premier League win, although during that domestic run they beat Lyon over two legs and Athletic Club to reach the Europa League final.
