Fleetwood Town beat Arsenal on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the Carabao Cup, and Sky Sports apologised four times after Conor Haughey swore live.

Fleetwood Town knocked Arsenal out of the Carabao Cup on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time. After the match, Sky Sports reporter Juliette Ferrington interviewed Conor Haughey pitchside as he stood alongside Jay Lynch, and Sky Sports issued four apologies after Haughey swore during the live exchange.

Penalty shootout

Fleetwood converted all five of their penalties, with Haughey scoring the decisive kick. Lynch saved Bruno Guimaraes's penalty.

Haughey's live interview

Asked by Ferrington about his mindset before taking the winning penalty, the defender said: "I don't know. Pick my spot, hit top corner and run like f***."

Haughey also said: "It's just mental. The boys, I'm so proud of them. It just shows how good the team are."

Lynch on the conditions

Lynch said: "My voice has gone from organising the defence."

He added: "The whole team throughout the game was magnificent. To beat the English champions - credit to these lads. It was a typical night in Fleetwood. We were expecting a storm, we knew the conditions would be horrible, so we thought it might go in our favour."

Draw to come

Lynch said: "We took heart from Grimsby beating Man Utd last year."

He added: "We kind of compared it. It's amazing for the club and the town. Honestly it means everything to everyone."

Fleetwood will await the Carabao Cup draw for their next opponents.
