Oliver Glasner said he will change his approach after Nottingham Forest lost 2-0 at Brentford. The defeat meant Forest have lost four of their last five league games, with one win from their opening nine leaving them 19th.
Glasner says changes are coming
Glasner said: "Losing four of the last five games, it’s not okay, it’s not good enough."
Glasner said: "For me, it’s pretty clear now that maybe I made too many compromises in a few things."
Glasner said: "It's now time not to make compromises, it's now time to show a clear way and everybody has to follow. And if they don't want to follow, then I guess then the sixth manager will come in."
Glasner said: "Today is completely clear, we have to change something, a few things. I have to change a few things, and I will change a few things, 100%. We can't continue in the same way, we have to change a few things, and that's the key."
What Glasner said about the problems
Glasner said: "If you are, in every single game, out-run by the opposition, if you’re losing too many duels, that’s the basics."
Glasner said: "If you can’t change this, then you can’t talk about the tactics, back three, four, five, six, eight, nine, it doesn’t matter."
Glasner said: "It’s not about preparation, it’s about transferring it onto the pitch."
He also said Forest are making too many mistakes in defence and are not ruthless enough or good enough in finishing.
First goal and match details
Nikola Milenkovic scored an own goal for Brentford's first goal, and Igor Thiago added the second in the 76th minute. Neither side had a shot on target until Brentford's second goal, and Forest's only shot on target came two minutes after they went 2-0 down.
Glasner said: "I think we controlled the game, we did very well, then it was a long ball from the keeper and we are just not aware enough, losing the duel and it’s an own goal."
Glasner said: "We can say unlucky but no. The fourth long ball from a keeper where we concede. It’s not being unlucky, it’s just a lack of awareness, and we knew they go long."
League position and BBC Sport report
Saturday's defeat left Forest 19th in the league, a point off the bottom heading into the meeting with leaders Manchester City.
BBC Sport reported that Glasner is thought to be safe for the moment. BBC Sport also reported that multiple sources told it Glasner's salary at the City Ground is in the region of £10m a year.
