Newcastle boss Matthias Jaissle said Matias Fernandez-Pardo, Lewis Miley and Will Osula were doubts ahead of Monday's match against Everton. The game comes after Newcastle were beaten by David Moyes' side in the Carabao Cup on Thursday.
Fernandez-Pardo and Miley still uncertain
Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Lewis Miley remain doubts for the clash with Everton on Monday. Jaissle said: "Sorry, right now I cannot give you an update on them. Hopefully they can make progress in the next days to be able maybe making it in the squad, but right now I cannot update you really."
Osula also a doubt
Will Osula is also a doubt for Monday's clash after being forced off on Thursday with an ankle injury.
Jaissle wants quick response
Jaissle called on his side to learn quickly from their recent mistakes while saying there have been signs of progress. He said: "I think now it’s time to learn fast out of the mistakes we just did and we mentioned. Other phases were already obviously to see that we improved and this is something we can count on, we can build on. This is the good part, but football is also in the end about results, so you need to avoid these simple mistakes."
