Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal made their first appearances after the Ballon d'Or ceremony in London. Kane was first left on the bench for Bayern Munich before setting up a goal against Borussia Dortmund, while Mbappé and Yamal each scored in La Liga matches.
Kane's first games with Bayern Munich
Kane won the Ballon d'Or at a ceremony in London last Monday. Bayern Munich then beat Magdeburg 6-1 in the German Cup, with Kane watching the whole game from the bench. GOAL said Vincent Kompany opted to rest Kane after the Ballon d'Or ceremony.
Bayern Munich drew 2-2 with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. Kane set up Bayern Munich's second goal, finished by Upamecano in the 66th minute, and Sofascore gave him a 6.5 out of 10.
Mbappé scores in Real Madrid win
Mbappé finished second in the Ballon d'Or voting. Real Madrid won 3-0 away to Racing Santander in La Liga, with Mbappé opening the scoring from a penalty he won himself. GOAL said more than one expert branded the penalty for Mbappé undeserved.
Mbappé's goal took him to 12 goals in 11 La Liga matches and 15 in 14 across all competitions this season. He played the full match, and Sofascore gave him an 8.3 out of 10. GOAL said Mbappé's 8.3 was the third best rating in the game, level with Huijsen and behind only Arda Güler on 8.7 and Bellingham on 8.4.
