Dortmund players on United's radar
TEAMtalk reported that Manchester United sent scouts to assess up to four Borussia Dortmund players ahead of the winter window: Serhou Guirassy, Jobe Bellingham, Felix Nmecha and Daniel Svensson. TEAMtalk also reported that Guirassy, Bellingham and Nmecha are long-term targets for the club.
Who started in Munich
Guirassy, Bellingham and Nmecha all started in Munich. Borussia Dortmund came away with a 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich.
Monitoring and the Svensson option
TEAMtalk reported that Manchester United have continued to monitor Guirassy, Bellingham and Nmecha throughout the season. TEAMtalk also reported that the club have been doing work on Daniel Svensson in recent months as he has emerged as a potential target.
According to TEAMtalk, Svensson is on Manchester United's list of options as the club assess how to strengthen that position heading into 2027. TEAMtalk reported that United pursued a deal for Newcastle's Lewis Hall over the summer but could not bring him in, and that Hall has since signed a new Newcastle contract, prompting the club to explore alternatives. TEAMtalk reported that any potential move for Svensson is viewed more as a possibility for the summer than the January window.
Other clubs at the Allianz Arena
TEAMtalk reported that almost every major European club had representatives at the game. Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur were among the Premier League sides also in attendance.
