Orlando Pirates beat Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 in the Soweto Derby on Saturday, and the result moved them to the top of the Betway Premiership table.
Goals in the derby
Yanela Mbuthuma and Tshepang Moremi scored for Pirates, while Pule Mmodi scored for Chiefs.
Mbuthuma opened the scoring after 24 minutes, Mmodi equalised in the 30th minute, and Moremi scored the winner 10 minutes after halftime.
Mokobodi's role
Mokobodi provided the pass for Mbuthuma to put Pirates ahead and then set up Moremi for the winning goal.
Flashscore rated Mokobodi as the highest-rated player on the pitch.
Match numbers and dismissal
Chiefs had more shots overall, 14-12, but fewer on target.
Chiefs finished with 10 men after Inacio Miguel was sent off in stoppage time following a second yellow card.
It was only the second goal Pirates had conceded in nine league matches this season and the first from open play.
Disallowed Pirates goal
Flashscore reported that Oswin Appollis had a Pirates goal ruled out for offside after rounding Petersen, although Flashscore said television replays suggested he had timed his run correctly.
