Al-Ittihad suffered an early setback against Abha on Friday in round 12 of the Saudi Roshn Pro League when midfielder Richard Rios went off injured. The problem came just days before Al-Ittihad face Al Ain on Monday in round four of the AFC Champions League Elite, leaving his availability in doubt.
Injury after eight minutes
Just 8 minutes into the match against Abha, the Colombian midfielder went down after a strong tackle from an opponent. Rios could not continue and left the field in tears, struggling to walk normally.

German manager Jens Wissing made an early substitution, with Ahmed Al-Ghamdi coming on in place of Rios.
Tests to decide Al Ain availability
Al-Ittihad are due to play Al Ain on Monday in the fourth round of the AFC Champions League Elite. Medical tests will determine the nature of the problem, the length of his absence and whether he can make the continental fixture.
