SI outlined four players Mauricio Pochettino should not forget for the U.S. men's national team's two-legged Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals against Haiti in November. The U.S. will face Haiti in Miami and Cincinnati.

Pochettino's player pool

Mauricio Pochettino has given caps to 75 different players since taking charge of the U.S. men's national team in October 2024. In the previous international window, Pochettino gave USMNT debuts to 13 different players.

The U.S. has reached the final four in each of the first four Nations Leagues, winning gold in the first three before taking bronze in 2025.

The four players named by SI

According to SI, the four players Pochettino cannot afford to forget about in November were Neil Pierre, Sebastian Berhalter, Joe Scally and Julian Zakrzewski Hall. Neil Pierre has already made three appearances for the USMNT during the previous international window.

SI said Pierre now has the opportunity to make his competitive debut against Haiti, the country where both his parents grew up.

Berhalter and Scally

SI said Sebastian Berhalter registered a goal and an assist during the friendlies against Chile and Peru.

SI said Joe Scally has a team-high three goals for Borussia Mönchengladbach this season and an assist in each of his last two matches.

Hall's form and other notes

SI said Julian Zakrzewski Hall has scored 15 goals in 33 appearances for Red Bull New York this season. SI said Hall registered a goal and an assist off the bench against Peru, then scored in consecutive starts against Chile and Mexico.

Hall became just the third player in USMNT history to score in each of his first three appearances, according to SI. SI said Patrick Agyemang, Haji Wright and Ricardo Pepi were sidelined by injury. SI said Poland are keen to pursue Hall.
