Michael Skubala said Lorent Tolaj faces a late fitness test before Saturday's trip to Bolton Wanderers, while Elijah Adebayo may miss the next couple of games.

Michael Skubala updated the fitness situation of several Bristol City players before Saturday’s trip to Bolton Wanderers. Lorent Tolaj faces a late test ahead of the game, while Elijah Adebayo is expected to miss the next couple of matches.

Tolaj faces late test

Skubala said: "So he’s got a late fitness test for this Saturday. It’s nothing long-term, but he’s got a contusion on his hip."

Hayters says Tolaj returned to the Robins squad against Stoke City after missing the previous three games, but suffered a heavy blow to his hip following a collision with goalkeeper Viktor Johansson.

Skubala said: "He got whacked by the keeper, so it’s a massive bruise. He’s missed quite a lot of training this week, but again, it will be a late call if he makes it for Saturday."

Adebayo set for spell out

Skubala said: "Elijah Adebayo is probably going to miss the next couple of games."

Skubala said: "We’ll see whether he makes Saturday or doesn’t make it before the next window."

Skubala said: "He’s had a little bit of a strain; we’ve had that scanned and looked at, so he’s going to be out for the foreseeable."

Skubala said: "He came off the pitch after Sheffield United with a quad strain. We thought he might recover quite quickly, but he’s going to need a bit more time."

Dickie back in training

Skubala said: "Rob’s back in, which is great news."

Skubala said: "We’ll see whether he’s available for Saturday. He’s been out five weeks, and he’s been with the team today for the first time."

Hayters says Luke McNally is continuing to build his fitness.

Eile still unavailable

Skubala said: "Noah’s still poorly. He’s still not available."

Skubala told Bristol Live: "He’s definitely heading in the right direction now. We’ve got a good grip of it. He’s been quite poorly, so naturally when you’re quite poorly, you lose a bit of weight and all the things you expect from being ill, but we’re definitely on the right side of it."

Skubala said: "I think the rest of the squad’s looking good and healthy."
