Cosmic Bingo at Mystic Lake: The Time Question

The question asks for a start time, and the honest answer is that this article does not publish one. What it can give you is the fixed thing: Mystic Lake Casino Hotel sits at coordinates 44.73083333, -93.47361111 in Prior Lake, Minnesota, and Minneapolis is 20.0 miles away as a straight-line, great-circle measurement. Event schedules change, and the only authoritative current answer for Cosmic Bingo timing is the venue's own published events page or its guest services line.

Road distance is always longer than straight-line distance. This article does not publish driving mileage, travel time, or any route guidance. Anyone travelling to a specific session should confirm the schedule first, then plan the drive separately.

Where the venue sits

Mystic Lake Casino Hotel is in Prior Lake, Minnesota, southwest of Minneapolis and Saint Paul. The owner is the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, and the property opened in 1982. The hotel has 766 rooms according to publicly published reference sources; figures like room counts are revised as properties are rebuilt and expanded, so treat that as a documented point in time rather than today's number.

Because the venue's position is fixed, the most useful thing this article can do is anchor it against other places a reader may already know. The table below lists every documented straight-line pairing supplied for this venue.

Straight-line distances from Mystic Lake

Every figure in this table is a great-circle measurement between documented coordinates. None of them is a road distance, and none of them implies a driving time.

If the exact pair you care about is not in this table, this article cannot measure that segment. The venue's city and state are documented, and the table above is the complete set of documented reference pairs.

Why straight-line distance is not your drive

A great-circle line ignores everything between two points. The ground between Mystic Lake and any reference city contains rivers, lakes, elevation changes, and existing road corridors that force a vehicle away from the shortest geometric path. Minnesota's road network follows section lines and historical routes, not a direct bearing toward a destination.

Crossing a state line adds another layer: the road system does not become a straight continuation at the border. Interstate and state highway alignments bend around population centers, protected land, and water crossings. A pairing like Mystic Lake to Milwaukee crosses Wisconsin, and the road path is governed by where bridges and interchanges already exist, not by the 298.5 straight-line miles between the two coordinates.

For a reader planning to attend a Cosmic Bingo session, the practical consequence is that the straight-line figure is a lower bound. It tells you how far apart two places are on a globe. It does not tell you how long the trip takes, what route to use, or what the drive will cost.

Cosmic Bingo scheduling: what governs the time

Cosmic Bingo is an event, not a fixed facility feature. Its start time is set by the property's entertainment and bingo operations team, and it can vary by day of week, season, holiday schedule, and whether the session is tied to a promotion or a special event weekend. A time published for one month does not bind the next.

The venue's own events page is the authoritative channel for the current schedule. The guest services line can also confirm a specific session, and the bingo hall itself posts session times for the current cycle. Anyone travelling a long distance should confirm the time on the day of the session, because event schedules change without notice and a published time is not a guarantee.

What to confirm before you go

Three things change independently and should be checked against the venue's current published information: the session start time, the session date, and any admission or buy-in requirement tied to that specific Cosmic Bingo event. None of those is published in this article.

Confirm the time through the venue's events page or guest services. Confirm the date on the same channel. Confirm any entry requirement at the bingo hall or box office, because special sessions sometimes carry separate admission or minimum buy-in rules that do not apply to regular bingo. If you are travelling from a distance, confirm all three in the same call or page visit, and ask whether the session has a capacity limit.
