Aave posted two lending milestones within days, with V4 deposits rising above $250 million and its Monad lending market crossing $100 million in deposits within 48 hours of launch. The figures were shared by Aave and CEO Stani Kulechov as the protocol pushed ahead with a new chain deployment and a broader multichain strategy for GHO.
Monad market scaled quickly after the July 2 launch
According to Aave, the lending market deployed on the Monad blockchain moved past the $100 million mark within two days of going live. The deployment runs Aave V3.7 and supports 12 assets, including the GHO stablecoin.
The rollout followed a governance process that began with a Temp Check proposal on Feb. 24, 2026. The community later approved the deployment, and the market officially launched on July 2.
Liquidity support included incentives and bridged GHO
The Monad Foundation committed $15 million in first-year incentives to support liquidity in the new market. Aave also said that 10 million GHO had been bridged and locked for more than six months to seed lending activity.
The deployment also pushed GHO into another network environment. Before Monad, the stablecoin had already launched on Base and Arbitrum. With the new Layer 1 integration, GHO’s reach now extends beyond Ethereum Layer 2 networks, where it can be used as collateral, a borrowing asset, and a trading pair across Aave markets.
V4 reached a new high for deposits
At the same time, Aave said V4 deposits had crossed $250 million, setting a new high for that version of the protocol. Kulechov described the quarter-billion-dollar threshold as a notable achievement for Aave’s lending ecosystem.
He also said Aave is looking to expand through additional crypto-backed loans and securities-backed lending. Earlier, Kulechov had pointed to V4 surpassing $1 million in liquidations as another milestone during the protocol’s growth. The latest figures show V4 and the Monad market both added scale over the same stretch.
Monad mainnet launched in November 2025
Based on the information provided, Monad launched its mainnet and the MON token in November 2025. The network targets 10,000 transactions per second with transaction finality of about 800 milliseconds. Aave’s latest deployment gives its lending markets and GHO stablecoin access to another blockchain ecosystem.
