ERC-8126 is an Ethereum standard designed to build a verifiable trust layer for on-chain AI agents. It standardizes five types of risk verification — contract, media, Solidity code, website, and wallet — and outputs a unified risk score along with verifiable proofs. This allows wallets, marketplaces, and decentralized applications (dApps) to make risk-control decisions based on objective signals.
Similar to a credit-checking mechanism in traditional finance, the standard provides a quantifiable measure of trustworthiness for on-chain AI agents. The risk score and proofs can be directly consumed by wallets, market platforms, and various dApps, enabling automated and objective risk control.
ERC-8126 bridges a critical gap from identity registration (ERC-8004) to trusted interaction for AI agents. Together with the identity standard, it forms a complete trust infrastructure for on-chain AI agents, offering a reliable foundation for scenarios such as decentralized finance and automated trading.
