AI foundation model companies in China and the United States are moving closer to the capital markets, with listing plans now spanning U.S. equities, China’s A-share market, and Hong Kong. According to BlockBeats, Anthropic and OpenAI are the furthest along after confidentially submitting S-1 filings in June, and both could reach the U.S. market as early as the fourth quarter of 2026. Anthropic was said to have filed on June 1, while OpenAI followed on June 8. The report also places several other companies in earlier stages of the process. DeepSeek has started preparations for an A-share listing and plans to submit materials by the end of 2026 before listing in 2027. Moonshot AI is in early assessment for a Hong Kong IPO and has already contacted investment banks, while StepFun is reportedly another candidate after allegedly filing confidentially in Hong Kong. A third group has only signaled intent so far. Baichuan Intelligence has not begun formal procedures and is expected to start listing work in 2027. Perplexity has also not formally launched its IPO process, though it is said to be targeting a U.S. listing in 2028.

Moonshot AI is conducting an early assessment for a Hong Kong listing and has already contacted investment banks. Its latest post-money valuation was about 20 billion yuan, with 2 billion yuan in its latest round and more than 5 billion yuan raised in total. No clear listing timetable has been disclosed.

StepFun has reportedly confidentially submitted listing documents in Hong Kong. Its latest valuation was about 12 billion yuan, with its latest financing round approaching 2.5 billion yuan and cumulative fundraising above 3 billion yuan. A specific listing date has not been set.

Companies that have only expressed intent
