Anchor Point Finance is preparing to roll out a stablecoin soon, according to remarks cited by Odaily, with Standard Chartered involved in advancing the project since the pair obtained a stablecoin license in April. Huiyi Hsuan of Standard Chartered said the work has included testing public blockchains to broaden use cases such as cross-border applications. The planned issuance model will be business-to-business-to-consumer, or B2B2C, meaning the stablecoin will not be distributed directly to end users. Instead, it will be issued through approved distributors. The target user base includes corporate and institutional clients, small and medium-sized enterprises, traders, service providers, fund companies and individual users. Hsuan said the project is intended to support the real economy, pointing to pain points in cross-border settlement, including the inability to process transactions on a 7×24 basis and relatively high costs. Beyond cross-border settlement, tokenized assets are also listed as a potential application scenario. She added that once the stablecoin launch is announced, Anchor Point Finance will sign distributor agreements, and the company will publish the list of relevant distributors soon.

Anchor Point Finance plans to launch a stablecoin soon and will use a business-to-business-to-consumer, or B2B2C, distribution model, according to comments cited by Odaily.

Huiyi Hsuan of Standard Chartered said Standard Chartered and Anchor Point Finance have been advancing stablecoin-related work since obtaining a stablecoin license in April. That work has included testing public blockchains to expand use cases such as cross-border applications.

She said the stablecoin is intended to support the real economy. In her remarks, she pointed to pain points for enterprises in cross-border settlement, including the inability to process transactions on a 7×24 basis and relatively high costs.

Under the planned model, Anchor Point Finance will not connect directly with end users. Distribution will instead take place through approved distributors. The target users include corporate and institutional clients, small and medium-sized enterprises, traders, service providers, fund companies and individual users. Cross-border settlement is one intended use case, and tokenized assets are also among the application scenarios mentioned.

Hsuan also said that after Anchor Point Finance announces the stablecoin launch, it will sign agreements with distributors. The relevant list will be published by Anchor Point Finance, and she said an announcement is expected soon. Distributors will also introduce related application scenarios.
