Anthropic has become the latest artificial intelligence company to see its implied value explode in alternative markets, with synthetic pre-IPO tokens on Solana pushing its on-chain valuation to $1 trillion. The move, highlighted by market commentators and visible on Jupiter’s Prestocks page, places Anthropic alongside OpenAI and SpaceX in the small club of private companies that have reached trillion-dollar territory in speculative secondary trading.

The development underscores the growing overlap between crypto infrastructure, private-market investing, and AI enthusiasm. But it also raises serious questions about legal enforceability, market structure, and whether these blockchain-based instruments represent meaningful ownership at all.

A synthetic market pricing Anthropic far above its last official round

According to the report, traders on Jupiter, the leading decentralized exchange aggregator in the Solana ecosystem, have bid up the synthetic token tied to Anthropic to levels implying a market value of roughly $1 trillion. Data cited in the article shows that the token traded near $122 in October 2025 and climbed to more than $1,065 by late April 2026, representing a gain of approximately 733% in under six months.

That sharp appreciation has driven the token’s implied valuation well beyond Anthropic’s last formal fundraising benchmark. The company’s Series G round closed on February 12, 2026 at a reported $380 billion post-money valuation. That financing was led by GIC and Coatue, with participation from Microsoft and Nvidia. In other words, the blockchain market is pricing Anthropic at nearly three times the value assigned in its latest official capital raise.

This gap is one of the central reasons the story has resonated so widely. In both crypto and venture circles, synthetic token markets are increasingly being watched as informal gauges of investor appetite for companies that remain private and difficult to access through traditional channels.

Forge data points to similar demand in private-share markets

The on-chain pricing is not the only signal suggesting aggressive demand. The article notes that Forge Global, a major private-share marketplace, has also seen Anthropic trade at levels near the trillion-dollar mark. On April 22, Forge CEO Kelly Rodriques told Business Insider that Anthropic shares on the platform were hovering close to $1 trillion, with some offers reaching as high as $1.15 trillion.

That figure was said to exceed Forge’s estimate for OpenAI, which the platform reportedly valued at around $880 billion. The report adds that the combined implied valuation of Anthropic, OpenAI, and SpaceX across these instruments now totals approximately $3.7 trillion, according to commentary from Kobeissi Letter.

Even if these numbers are not equivalent to public-market capitalizations in the conventional sense, they demonstrate how scarce access to elite AI names can create steep premiums in secondary and quasi-secondary venues.

What Prestocks tokens actually represent

Despite the headline-grabbing valuation, the structure of these assets is crucial. Prestocks tokens are described as SPL tokens on Solana that are minted on a claimed 1:1 basis against exposure held through a special purpose vehicle, or SPV. The stated goal is to track the value of real Anthropic shares trading in secondary private markets.

However, token holders do not receive equity ownership in Anthropic. They do not get voting rights, dividends, or any direct legal claim on the company. What they hold is effectively price exposure to a reference asset, not the asset itself.

This distinction matters because the market price of a synthetic instrument can imply a lofty valuation without granting buyers the protections or rights that typically come with stock ownership. It also means the token can trade based on sentiment, scarcity, and liquidity conditions that differ dramatically from the underlying private-share market it is attempting to mirror.

Anthropic has explicitly warned against such arrangements

Anthropic has taken a notably cautious, and in some respects hostile, position toward these structures. According to the report, the company’s official support materials state that it does not permit SPVs to acquire Anthropic shares. It further says that any such transfers would be void under the company’s transfer restrictions.

The company also warns that third parties claiming to sell Anthropic stock via tokenized securities or forward contracts may be engaged in fraud or may be offering an investment that could have no legal value. That warning has reportedly been in place since at least the summer of 2025.

Even so, platforms such as Prestocks have continued to operate. Prestocks markets its offering as a way to bring private markets to a broader audience and emphasizes its claimed 1:1 SPV backing, while keeping details about the SPV itself private. The report notes that U.S. persons are generally restricted from participating.

For market participants, this creates a tension between access and enforceability. A token may offer speculative exposure to one of the most sought-after AI companies in the world, but if the underlying structure is challenged or lacks legal recognition, the economic thesis becomes far more fragile.

Revenue growth helps explain investor enthusiasm

Part of the willingness to pay such elevated prices stems from Anthropic’s extraordinary business momentum. The report says the company’s annualized revenue was close to $9 billion at the end of 2025, rose to $14 billion in February 2026, and exceeded $30 billion by late March and April 2026. That acceleration has been driven primarily by enterprise adoption of the company’s Claude family of models.

For investors, rapid revenue expansion can justify premium multiples, especially in a market convinced that a small number of frontier AI firms may dominate future software and infrastructure spending. Combined with limited supply of secondary shares, that narrative helps explain why synthetic and private-market buyers are willing to chase valuations well above the last fundraising round.

Still, fast growth alone does not remove the structural risks attached to tokenized pre-IPO exposure. It simply provides a stronger narrative for why demand is appearing in the first place.

Liquidity is thin, concentration is high, and volatility is real

One of the most important caveats in the report concerns market depth. On-chain metrics tracked by Coingecko show that the token had a circulating supply of nearly 9,000 tokens, an overall market capitalization of around $9.59 million, and only about $933,000 in liquidity. Daily volume ranged between $478,000 and $1.7 million.

Ownership was also relatively concentrated. Roughly 3,130 wallets held the token, while the top ten wallets controlled about 50.55% of supply. In a market this small, concentrated, and thinly traded, a single large order can move price dramatically.

The report notes that the token has at times traded at a 56% discount to its oracle reference price. In another brief episode, the implied valuation reportedly spiked to $1.56 trillion before falling back as prices stabilized. These swings suggest that the trillion-dollar figure should be understood less as a firm institutional consensus and more as a speculative signal generated in a shallow market.

That does not mean the demand is fake. It does mean the pricing mechanism is fragile.

IPO expectations remain speculative

Part of the excitement around Anthropic also reflects expectations for a future public listing. The report says analysts at Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan are reportedly valuing a potential Anthropic IPO in the range of $400 billion to $500 billion. No S-1 filing has been submitted, however, and no official listing timeline has been confirmed.

Market watchers have pointed to a possible fourth-quarter 2026 listing that could raise more than $60 billion, but the article makes clear that these remain expectations rather than company-confirmed plans. In that sense, the on-chain market may be pricing not just current fundamentals, but also an ambitious future in which Anthropic becomes one of the defining public AI companies of the era.

A powerful signal, but not a substitute for legal rights

For now, the $1 trillion valuation attached to Anthropic in on-chain markets should be viewed as a potent mix of genuine demand, extreme AI optimism, restricted share supply, and crypto-native speculation. It tells us that investors are eager for exposure to top-tier private AI names, and that blockchain rails are increasingly being used to create that exposure where traditional access remains limited.

At the same time, the legal and structural limitations are impossible to ignore. Anthropic has explicitly distanced itself from these instruments, token holders lack direct ownership rights, and the market itself is relatively illiquid and highly concentrated.

As a result, the trillion-dollar mark is best understood not as a settled corporate valuation, but as a market signal from a speculative edge of finance. For buyers considering such instruments, the most important question may not be whether Anthropic is worth more in the future, but whether the token they are purchasing would confer any enforceable economic claim if tested under real-world legal conditions.
