Anthropic said it is increasing Claude Code’s weekly usage limit by 50% effective immediately, with the change staying in place until July 13, 2026 at 6:00 PM PDT. The higher cap applies to Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans across CLI, IDE extensions, the desktop app, and the web version.
According to the company, the update has already been applied automatically to eligible accounts, so users do not need to change settings or contact support. The move comes one week after Anthropic doubled Claude Code’s 5-hour rate limit, expanding the relaxation from short-term throughput to weekly usage capacity.
Automatic rollout across all supported interfaces
The increase covers all major ways developers access Claude Code. Whether users work from the command line, inside an IDE extension, on desktop, or in a browser, the expanded weekly allowance is included as long as their subscription falls under the listed plans. Anthropic did not attach any extra activation steps or platform-specific conditions.
The company also set a clear end date for the temporary boost. The 50% increase runs from now until July 13, 2026. Anthropic has not said what happens after that point, leaving open whether limits will stay elevated, return to prior levels, or change again.
