Anthropic has launched nine creative connectors for Claude, extending the assistant into Adobe Creative Cloud, Blender, Ableton, Autodesk Fusion, Splice, Affinity, SketchUp and Resolume. The connectors are available now across all Claude plans, including the free tier.
Claude moves into image, video, 3D and music workflows
The release follows Claude Design, which Anthropic introduced two weeks earlier, and pushes the same strategy deeper into day-to-day creative software.
Adobe is the broadest integration in the group. Anthropic said Claude can pull in images, videos and design files from more than 50 Creative Cloud tools, including Photoshop, Premiere and Express, and work with that material directly inside a conversation. Users do not need to rely on screenshots or manual exports, because Claude can access what is in the workspace.
Blender is where the technical depth stands out. Claude provides a natural-language interface for Blender’s Python API, allowing users to analyze and debug full 3D scenes, write batch-processing scripts, and even add tools inside the Blender interface itself. For 3D creators without an engineering background, that lowers the barrier to automating repetitive tasks.
The Ableton connector is narrower in scope. Claude answers questions based on official documentation for Ableton Live and Push, making it closer to an intelligent reference layer than an automation tool.
Anthropic also backs Blender financially
Alongside the product integrations, Anthropic has joined the Blender Development Fund as a Corporate Patron. Blender said the company will contribute at least €240,000 per year, or about $281,000. According to Blender’s sponsorship structure, Corporate Patron is the highest tier, with peers that include Netflix, Epic Games and Wacom.
Blender is a free and fully open-source 3D creation suite with no subscription fee, and its development is supported by the community and corporate sponsors. The report notes that it was one of the tools used in the visual style production of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and remains a core tool for large numbers of independent animators and game developers.
Anthropic is targeting the creative stack, not replacing it
In its announcement, Anthropic said Claude does not replace taste or imagination, but can open up new ways of working through faster ideation, broader skill coverage and the ability to take on larger projects.
That positioning matters in a market where Adobe is pushing Firefly AI, Figma has AI design generation, and Canva has built out a full AI creative toolkit. Anthropic is not trying to present Claude as a direct Adobe substitute. The company is placing Claude inside existing platforms and aiming for the reasoning layer behind the tools creators already use.
From Claude Design to these new connectors, Anthropic has now made its second move into the creative sector this month. The bet is less about building a single standout design product and more about making Claude present across the full toolchain used by creative professionals.
