Anthropic has launched Claude for Small Business, a new AI automation offering for SMEs that connects with seven mainstream business tools and includes 15 built-in skills for finance, operations, sales and HR tasks.

Anthropic introduced Claude for Small Business on July 13, aiming the Claude platform at day-to-day work inside small companies. The product is designed for lean teams and solo operators that want to hand routine administrative tasks to AI instead of adding another standalone software stack.

Seven business software integrations built into Claude Cowork

The company says the product can be switched on inside its agent platform, Claude Cowork, through a dedicated toggle. Rather than asking users to migrate to a new system, Anthropic is packaging connectors and ready-made workflows on top of software that many small businesses already use.

The listed integrations are Intuit QuickBooks, PayPal, DocuSign, HubSpot, Canva, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. QuickBooks support covers accounting, payroll and reconciliation tasks, placing finance operations near the center of the launch.

Fifteen prebuilt skills target repetitive business work

Anthropic says the offering comes with 15 built-in skills spanning finance, operations, sales, marketing, HR and customer support. The pitch is straightforward. Claude is being positioned as a system that can handle multi-step work, not just answer prompts in a chat window.

Examples named in the source include payroll planning, monthly reconciliation and close processes, identifying business insights and trends, running sales and marketing campaigns, chasing unpaid invoices and helping with employee onboarding. Those are routine tasks, but they often consume time that small teams do not have.

Launch targets a US market of 36 million small businesses

Anthropic is going after a large addressable market. The source says the US has about 36 million small businesses, accounting for 44% of GDP and employing nearly half of the private-sector workforce. That gives the company a broad customer base where efficiency tools can have direct operational value.

To speed up adoption, Anthropic plans a nationwide roadshow and training effort for business owners. The feature currently depends heavily on the Claude desktop app, with Mac offering the strongest support at this stage. Pricing has not been disclosed. The source notes market expectations that it could arrive as an add-on to existing Pro, Max or Team subscription plans.
