Aptos Labs said it plans to roll out MonoMove, an upgrade to its execution engine, according to Techub. In internal testing, the company said MonoMove delivered large performance gains in Decibel’s fully on-chain trading scenario. Collateral withdrawals were executed up to 55 times faster, while order placement was up to 22 times faster. Aptos Labs also said end-to-end sequential transaction throughput improved by as much as 11 times in its internal benchmarks.
The company expects feature development for MonoMove to be completed by the end of 2026. If the proposal clears governance voting, the upgrade is scheduled to go live on the Aptos mainnet in 2027. Aptos Labs said the new engine will retain Move’s asset safety constraints and add redundant checking mechanisms as part of the design.
