Aster DEX has launched SUSHI perpetual futures, giving traders a new way to take leveraged positions on the SushiSwap token with up to 5x leverage. The exchange said the listing was confirmed on June 4, 2026, and traders will earn 1.2x trading points on every SUSHI perp trade until June 10, 2026, 23:59 UTC.
Listing details and launch incentive
The new contract adds another on-chain derivatives option for SUSHI traders who want exposure through a decentralized venue rather than a centralized exchange. Aster framed the promotion as an early launch incentive tied to trading activity during the first days of the market going live.
Aster said its exchange runs on AsterChain L1, a proprietary network designed for high throughput, with a stated target of more than 100,000 transactions per second. The platform also says it supports encrypted orders, multi-chain access, crypto perpetuals, stock perpetuals, and yield products without centralized custody.
SUSHI price, market cap, and supply snapshot
According to the CoinMarketCap data cited in the source, SUSHI was trading at about $0.22 in the early hours of June 4, 2026. Its market capitalization was in the $64 million range, with a circulating supply of roughly 286 million tokens. That remains far below the token’s all-time high of around $23 in 2021.
Even so, SUSHI remains active across DeFi markets, and new listings continue to generate trading attention around the token. The Aster launch gives market participants another decentralized route to trade SUSHI with leverage on-chain.
SushiSwap keeps expanding its DeFi stack
SushiSwap began in 2020 as a Uniswap fork and later expanded into a multi-chain DeFi ecosystem spanning more than 30 blockchains. Within that ecosystem, the SUSHI token is used for governance voting, fee sharing through SushiBar staking, liquidity incentives, and yield farming participation.
The source also said SushiSwap is working on several product upgrades, including Blade No-IL AMM, which is aimed at reducing or eliminating impermanent loss on blue-chip pairs, and Kubo Perpetuals Primitive, built for delta-neutral yield strategies. Solana integration and governance improvements are also in progress.
ASTER falls less than the broader market
While the SUSHI listing brought added attention to the platform, the ASTER token was down 2% over the previous 24 hours to $0.66. Over the same period, the broader crypto market had declined 4.01%. Total market trading volume fell 10.09% to $226.8 million. The source added that ASTER had recently reached a two-month high in the $0.77 to $0.78 range.
With more listings being added, including the new SUSHI perpetual market, Aster DEX is widening its presence in the altcoin perpetuals segment.
